5. （機(jī)器設(shè)備）出毛病的，出故障的
If something is wrong or goes wrong with a machine or piece of equipment, it stops working properly.

6. (言論或想法)錯的，錯誤的
If you are wrong about something, what you say or think about it is not correct.

e.g. I was wrong about it being a casual meeting...

7. (通常用于生氣時)你想錯了／你聽錯了
You can use wrong in expressions such as you thought wrong and you heard wrong to tell someone that what they thought or were told is incorrect, usually when you are annoyed.

e.g. 'I thought you and I were going to spend the night together,' he whispered. 'You thought wrong,' Nancy whispered back.

Wrong is used to refer to activities or actions that are considered to be morally bad and unacceptable.

e.g. It is wrong that we have to tell ill people to go somewhere else to look for treatment...
我們不得不讓病人到別處求醫(yī)的做法是不可取的。

10. 不公平行為;不道德行為
A wrong is an unfair or immoral action.

e.g. I intend to right that wrong...
我打算糾正那個錯誤。
e.g. The insurance company should not be held liable for the wrongs of one of its agents.

11. 不公正地對待;冤枉
If someone wrongs you, they treat you in an unfair way.

12. 不能被社會所接受的;不可取的
You use wrong to describe something which is not thought to be socially acceptable or desirable.

e.g. The prospect of easy profits has attracted the wrong kind of businessman.
輕松撈取利潤的可能性吸引了一撥不良商人。

13. 別誤會我的意思
You say 'Don't get me wrong' when you want to make sure that someone does not get an incorrect idea about what you are doing or saying, or about why you are doing or saying it.

e.g. Don't get me wrong, it's interesting work. But it's not permanent...
別誤會我的意思，這個工作很有意思，可惜不是長期性的。
e.g. I mean, don't get me wrong. Joanie's my best friend, but she can be kind of a pain sometimes.
別誤會，我的意思是喬安妮是我最好的朋友，但她有時候可能有點兒招人煩。

14. (情況)出岔子，出差錯
If a situation goes wrong, it stops progressing in the way that you expected or intended, and becomes much worse.

e.g. It all went horribly wrong...
情況完全變得一團(tuán)糟。
e.g. Nearly everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
差不多可能出亂子的地方都出了亂子。

15. (道義或法律上)錯的，不對的
If someone who is involved in an argument or dispute has behaved in a way which is morally or legally wrong, you can say that they are in the wrong .

e.g. He didn't press charges because he was in the wrong...
他沒有起訴，因為過錯在他。
e.g. She was the one in the wrong.
她是有過錯的一方。

16. 冤冤相報何時了
If someone says 'Two wrongs don't make a right', they mean that you should not do harm to a person who has done harm to you, even if you think that person deserves it.
